What is a destination park?

It is a melting pot of people and activities.

It includes amenities, a theme, and an environment that attracts, entertains, galvanizes and captivates people of all ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.

A destination park:

  • promotes institutional tie-ins and partnerships
  • addresses our emotional, spiritual and physical well being such that we are anxious to return
  • generates the creditability and means needed to stimulate a philanthropic attitude within the community
  • becomes an economic engine for the city and surrounding areas
  • provides appropriate transportation and connectivity, and becomes a core asset that radiates tremendous value in all directions
  • is attractive to all ages and inviting to all North Carolinians
  • is a major attraction for tourists and conferences and for companies considering where to relocate.

A destination park is the common denominator of great cities.
